Practice Moral Courage in Small Things

Week 6 – Day 2

Practice Moral Courage in Small Things

Story

Evan imagined integrity as something that showed up only in big, dramatic tests, refusing a bribe, exposing corruption. But most of his days were filled with small choices: rounding up hours on a timesheet, laughing at a cutting joke, staying silent when gossip started. One day he sensed the Spirit whisper, These are the places where your character is being formed. He decided to treat little moments as training ground. When a coworker exaggerated numbers on a report, Evan quietly corrected the figures, even though it drew a frown. When a conversation turned unkind, he changed the subject. Slowly, he realized that courage in small decisions was teaching his heart how to stand when larger pressures came.

Scripture

“He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much.” (Luke 16:10)

Application

Integrity is built one small choice at a time. Today, look for ordinary opportunities to tell the truth, keep a promise, or quietly stand for what is right. These moments may not be noticed by others, but they matter deeply to God and shape who you are when greater tests arrive.

Daily Challenge

Action: Look for small opportunities to tell the truth, keep a promise, or stand up quietly for what is right.

Prayer: Jesus, make me faithful in little so I can be faithful in much. Amen.
