Evaluate and Commit to Community Wisdom
Week 4 – Day 7
Story
After several weeks of intentionally seeking and giving counsel, Julian decided to look back on his growth. He noticed that the decisions he had processed with wise believers felt like they had better foundations and he felt more peace, even when outcomes were still uncertain. He also saw moments when he had resisted counsel, and realized those were often the times pride or fear had been driving him. As he reflected, he felt gratitude for the people who had asked hard questions, prayed with him, and pointed him to Scripture. He sensed God inviting him not to treat these weeks as a “nice experiment,” but as a new way of life, founded on being an active member in the body of Christ.
Scripture
“So we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.” (Romans 12:5)
Application
Reflection turns scattered conversations into a recognizable pattern of God’s care. Today, review how seeking and giving counsel has affected your decisions and your awareness of God’s presence. Then identify at least one relationship or rhythm of community you want to strengthen. This is about moving from occasional counsel to a lifestyle of shared wisdom.
Daily Challenge
Action: Reflect on how seeking and giving counsel this week has affected your decisions and your awareness of God. Identify one ongoing relationship or rhythm you will commit to strengthening.
Prayer: Father, thank You for speaking through Your people. Place me deeply in Your body so that wisdom and love can flow both to me and through me. Amen.
