Reflect on God’s Guidance Through His Word

Week 2 – Day 7

Reflect on God’s Guidance Through His Word

Story

After several weeks of consulting Scripture before decisions, Nina sat down with her journal and flipped back through her notes. She saw verses that had brought her peace during a health scare, passages that had challenged her spending habits, and Psalms that had comforted her during relationship struggles. She also saw decisions that had gone differently because she had paused to ask, “What does God say?” Some outcomes were still unresolved, but she could trace a line of God’s gentle hand on her life, directing her path. Tears came as she realized: “I’m not just reading words; God has been leading me.” The realization of God’s hand in her life kindled a fresh hunger to keep listening.

Scripture

“The unfolding of your words gives light;
it gives understanding to the simple.” (Psalm 119:130)

Application

Reflection turns scattered moments into a recognizable story of God’s faithfulness. Today, look back over the week and notice where Scripture has brought clarity, comfort, correction, or courage. This isn’t about grading yourself; or checking to make sure you’ve done it all right, it’s about mindfulness and taking time to recognize the patterns of how God leads you through His Word so that your confidence in Him grows.

Daily Challenge

Action: Review your notes from the week. Where did Scripture bring guidance, comfort, or correction? Where do you still feel unsure and need more study?

Prayer: Father, thank You for the gift of Your Word. Deepen my hunger for it and my trust in it as I make decisions. Amen.
