Surrender Your Plans to God

Week 5 – Day 7

Surrender Your Plans to God

Story

After a week of thinking long-term, Elena felt both sobered and hopeful. She could see patterns, some wise, some shortsighted, in her past decisions. Part of her wanted to hold onto future planning even tighter, as if she could guarantee outcomes by sheer foresight. Then she read, “My times are in your hand,” and remembered that long-term thinking is meant to lead to deeper trust, not deeper control. She spread her journal before God, with its scribbled visions, timelines, and reflections, and prayed, “These are Yours. Lead me in what lasts.” The act of placing her future back into His hands became a fitting end to the week, a merging of careful stewardship and surrendered faith.

Scripture

“My times are in your hand.” (Psalm 31:15)

Application

Wise planning and deep trust belong together. Today, review what God has shown you this week and then consciously place your future into His care. This is not abandoning thoughtfulness; it is acknowledging that the One who sees the end from the beginning is better at being Lord of your timeline than you are.

Daily Challenge

Action: Review your notes from the week. List specific shifts you sense God inviting you to make. Write a prayer surrendering your long-term plans and asking Him to lead.

Prayer: Lord, my times are in Your hand. Help me plan wisely, trust deeply, and live for what lasts. Amen.
